Vintage books are something that I love decorating with. They are so versatile and timeless. Whether you are using them as a riser to show off something you’ve displayed, aligning the spine colors to create impact, or just creating a project with the pages they have so many uses! Here are a few ways you can decorate with vintage books in your home! As always when using vintage books, make sure they aren’t a rare edition or something valuable!

Remove the Book Covers
Sometimes what’s between the covers of a book is better than whats on them. If a book has a damaged or unattractive, simply removing the covers and stacking them has a pretty and organic look.
Some of them have really pretty text on the first page and are a display unto themselves.
Use Books as Risers to Elevate Other Items
This is a great way to get height an impact and display some of your prettiest books. I love using them in interior design restyling. They lend such a cozy and lived in feel. Grouping colors and themes also can add a nice touch to the display.

Add a Vintage Flair to Decoating
Using old books with great book covers can actually add color and texture to a room.
Add Themed Books to Your Holiday Display
With special subjects and art on covers they can be a part of your Christmas or holiday decorating.
Create a Vibe with Vintage Books
Pairing books with items in color schemes can add a vibe and personality to a space, such as pairing these red books with a vintage pipes.
Or paired with vintage decanters and flowers, the green books give an nice pop of color!
Create a Book Stack Christmas Tree
Like this really fun and creative one by Thoughts from Alice. The spines in and pages out create a unified look.
Add Interest to Open Shelving
The kitchen doesn’t need to be all pots and pans. It can also have moments of interest like a stack of cook books with a faux plant.
Create a Temporary Side Table
A sturdy stack of books can create a little table to put that phone down on while you read a book!
Add Interest to a Room
Vintage books stacked on a book self wall add interest to an otherwise blank space.
